Understanding the Limits and How We Verify Legitimate Usage
OldschoolRO Revo enforces a fair-play environment by limiting how many clients and devices each player may use. This page explains the policy in full detail and addresses common concerns such as households, computer shops, and vending accounts.
Maximum Clients per Device: 4
Players may run up to 4 game clients per device. Using additional programs, virtual devices, MAC-spoofing, or any method intended to bypass this limit is strictly prohibited. All associated accounts involved in bypassing the limit will be banned without warning.
Maximum Devices per Player: 2
Each player may use a maximum of 2 physical devices. Any activity that exceeds this limit or is deemed intentionally abusive—such as distributing excessive clients across multiple devices—will be treated as account abuse. Admins and Staff reserve the right to apply sanctions if player behavior is considered unfair, exploitative, or harmful to the server environment.
⁉ What Happens if You Bypass the Limits
Any account involved in bypassing limits will receive sanctions, including permanent bans without warning, depending on severity.
Households (Multiple Players in One Home)
Many players ask if sharing the same internet connection or playing together in the same house is a problem. The answer: No. Real households are safe.
We have multiple internal tools that track account behavior and patterns, making it easy to identify when multiple individuals are genuinely playing separately. As long as each person plays normally and does not use their accounts to funnel unfair advantages, you will not be sanctioned.
Computer Shops / Internet Cafe
Playing from a computer shop is also safe and allowed.
Similar to households, we analyze account activity, behavior patterns, and gameplay logs to determine if accounts belong to real, separate players, not a single person abusing multiple PCs.
You will not be penalized as long as you follow the normal gameplay rules.
Autotrade Vendors (Vending Accounts)
Autotrade merchants are NOT included in the 4-client limitation.
You may open additional autotrade accounts beyond the 4-client cap.
Vending accounts are treated differently because they do not interact with gameplay systems that can be abused.
🚫 Examples of Abuse (Not Allowed)
Opening more than 4 clients on a single PC using VMs or software-based tricks
Using more than 2 devices to increase farming capability
Running multiple clients with synchronized activity for unfair advantage
Masking devices behind spoofed MAC/HWID addresses to abuse some features
These rules are designed to maintain fairness while still giving players freedom to play comfortably. Strengthen our long-term economy; ensuring a fair and sustainable gameplay environment for everyone. If you're not doing anything abusive, you have nothing to worry about.
