Dimension Drill

Dimension Drill is a competitive PvP/GvG event adapted for OldschoolRO Revo.
Teams will compete across different battle modes where teamwork, coordination, positioning, and individual performance are all important.
Unlike traditional PvP/GvG battles, each Dimension Drill mode has its own unique objective. Teams must adapt their strategy depending on the mode selected.
π― Game Modes
Dimension Drill features four different game modes:
πͺ Blood and Gold
Collect and protect Gold Coins
PvP + Objective Control
π Cart Contest
Push the Cart into the enemy base
Team Coordination
πΉ Shapeshift Ops
Transform into powerful monsters and defeat enemies
PvP + Monster Skills
βοΈ Team Deathmatch
Eliminate the opposing team and earn points
Pure PvP/GvG
πͺ Blood and Gold
Blood and Gold is an objective-based PvP mode where teams compete to collect the most Gold Coins.
A powerful monster appears in the center of the battlefield. Attacking the monster causes it to drop Gold Coins, which players can collect.
However, collecting Coins makes you a target for the opposing team.
How It Works
The Goblin appears in the center of the battlefield.
Players attack the Goblin to make it drop Gold Coins.
Players collect the dropped Coins for their team.
Players can attack opposing players and steal their collected Coins when they are defeated.
The Goblin may drop additional Coins when defeated.
The team with the highest amount of Coins when the timer expires wins.
β οΈ Don't focus only on the Goblin.
Controlling the center while protecting your Coin carriers is just as important as collecting Coins.
π Victory Condition
The team with the most Gold Coins at the end of the match wins.
Depending on the event configuration, an instant victory condition may also be applied when a team reaches the required Coin amount.
π‘ Strategy Tips
Assign players to attack the Goblin.
Protect players carrying a large amount of Coins.
Focus enemy Coin carriers when possible.
Don't overextend for a few additional Coins.
Control the center of the map whenever possible.
Coordinate attacks before engaging the opposing team.
π Cart Contest
Cart Contest is an objective-based mode where both teams fight for control of a Cart.
The objective is simple:
Push the Cart from your side of the battlefield into the enemy base.
The Cart can only move when your team has control of the area around it.
How It Works
The Cart starts at its designated starting position.
Teams fight around the Cart or inside the RED MARK to gain control.
When only your team is controlling the Cart, it begins moving toward the enemy base.
Having more teammates near the Cart can increase its movement speed.
When both teams contest the Cart, its movement stops.
Eliminate or push back the opposing team to regain control.
Continue escorting the Cart toward the enemy base.
The first team to successfully push the Cart into the enemy base wins.
β‘ Cart Control
The Cart is the most important objective on the battlefield.
A team may have more kills but still lose the match if the opposing team makes greater progress with the Cart.
Your team controls the area
π’ Cart advances
Both teams are contesting
π‘ Cart stops
Enemy controls the area
π΄ Cart advances for enemy
Cart reaches enemy base
π Victory
π‘ Strategy Tips
Stay inside the RED MARK around the Cart.
Don't chase enemies too far away from the objective.
Assign players to protect the Cart.
Eliminate enemies attempting to contest.
Coordinate burst damage before pushing forward.
Reviving and returning quickly to the Cart can be more valuable than chasing kills.
π― Objective first, kills second.
πΉ Shapeshift Ops
Shapeshift Ops is a special PvP mode where players can transform into powerful monsters.
Players can obtain transformation orbs placed around the battlefield. After obtaining an orb, the player transforms and gains access to special monster abilities.
Transformation System
Transformation options may include powerful monsters such as:
Garm
Stormy Knight
Dark Lord
Baphomet
The available transformations may depend on the version and configuration of the event.
How It Works
Transformation orbs appear around the battlefield.
Players collect the available orbs.
The player transforms into the assigned monster.
The transformed player gains access to special abilities.
Use the transformation's abilities to defeat opposing players.
Continue fighting until the match timer expires.
π Victory Condition
The team with the highest score at the end of the match wins.
Player kills and other configured performance objectives contribute toward the team's score.
πΉ Example Transformation Abilities
Different transformations provide different combat abilities.
Garm
Area damage and Frost effects
Stormy Knight
Mobility and AoE damage
Dark Lord
Summoning and area attacks
Baphomet
Close-range damage and burst attacks
π‘ Strategy Tips
Don't waste transformation time.
Secure transformation orbs whenever possible.
Coordinate transformations with your teammates.
Use AoE skills when enemies group together.
Protect teammates who are currently transformed.
Avoid fighting alone when heavily outnumbered.
πΉ The transformation is powerful, but teamwork makes it dangerous.
βοΈ Team Deathmatch
Team Deathmatch is the most straightforward Dimension Drill mode.
Two teams of 5-10 players battle against each other with the objective of earning more points than the opposing team.
How It Works
Two teams enter the battlefield with each player having 3 lives.
Players fight against the opposing team.
Defeating an enemy awards points according to the event configuration.
Players may respawn depending on the configured battle rules.
Continue fighting until the match timer expires.
The team with the highest score wins.
π Victory Condition
The team with the highest score at the end of the match wins.
π‘ Strategy Tips
Stay with your team.
Avoid unnecessary solo engagements.
Focus targets together.
Prioritize low-HP enemies.
Coordinate crowd control and burst damage.
Don't sacrifice yourself for kills that don't benefit the team.
Keep track of the score and remaining time.
βοΈ Five players fighting together are stronger than five players fighting separately.
π Dimension Drill Strategy
Every mode requires a different approach.
πͺ Blood and Gold
Coin control and protecting carriers
π Cart Contest
Objective control and positioning
πΉ Shapeshift Ops
Transformation management and PvP
βοΈ Team Deathmatch
Team fighting and kill efficiency
Team Composition
A balanced team should ideally have a combination of:
Damage Dealers - Eliminate enemy players.
Support - Heal, buff, and keep teammates alive.
Crowd Control - Disable or disrupt enemy players.
Frontline - Absorb pressure and create opportunities.
Objective Players - Focus on Coins, Cart, or other objectives.
The ideal composition may change depending on the selected game mode.
