Play Dead Quest

The Play Dead Skill Quest allows Novices to learn the fundamental survival skill Play Dead (NV_TRICKDEAD). By playing dead, monsters will immediately stop attacking you and ignore your presence, making it a critical ability for early leveling and tricky situations.

Walkthrough

Requirement: Complete the preliminary monster trials from Knight Dropping in the main questline.

Speak with the Hungry Novice

• Location: Training Ground 75, 204 (sitting by the pathway).

• Speak with the Hungry Novice, who is starving and asks you to bring him 5 Bananas from Fruit Vendor Tomas.

Speak with Fruit Vendor Tomas

• Location: Training Ground 177, 154

• Speak with Fruit Vendor Tomas. He explains that his fruit stall broke down and he cannot sell any fruit until he gets some glue to repair it.

Fetch Glue from Alchemist Trainee Alcheem

• Location: Training Ground 147, 161

• Speak with Alchemist Trainee Alcheem to collect a freshly brewed batch of glue.

• Return to Fruit Vendor Tomas (Training Ground 177, 154) and deliver the glue.

Tomas Rewards You With:

• Banana x20

• Increase Agility 10 Scroll x3

• Blessing 10 Scroll x3

Deliver Bananas to the Hungry Novice

Return to the Hungry Novice at Training Ground 75, 204 and hand over 5 Bananas.

Play Dead Usage: Feign death to drop monster aggro. Note that while playing dead, you cannot move, attack, or cast skills until you stand up.
